"Jesus answered, 'I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me'" (John 14:6).
Jesus' statement in the verse above begs the question: Is Jesus really the only way to heaven? Isn't it narrow-minded to think that only Christians are right and other religions are wrong? Those are good questions.
Here's the answer. Jesus is the only One who predicted His death and resurrection from the dead and then pulled it off in front of hundreds of witnesses. Not only do the biblical accounts of Matthew, Mark, Luke and John all share the eye-witness accounts of Jesus' resurrection, but multiple people who did not accept the Bible as authoritative evidence came to the conclusion that the resurrection actually happened.
Dr. Simon Greenleaf, the Royal Professor of Law at Harvard University, was a great legal mind. He set out to prove that the story of Jesus' resurrection was a myth. Instead, after carefully examining the evidence, he came to this conclusion: "It was impossible that the apostles could have persisted in affirming the truths they had narrated, had not Jesus Christ actually risen from the dead, ..." (An Examination of the Testimony of the Four Evangelists by the Rules of Evidence Administered in the Courts of Justice, page 29).
Dr. Greenleaf was so impressed by the amount of evidence that he became a follower of Jesus. Regardless of where you stand in your personal view of Jesus, it's worth exploring the evidence. Jesus made the claim that He would rise from the dead and He did. The evidence proves He did. Since it's true that Jesus rose from the dead, then that must mean that Jesus is not a fraud. He's not a liar. He's the real deal.
Is Jesus really the only way to heaven? You be the judge. Tell me, what other way is going to give you certainty that you will get to experience eternal life in heaven? What other way is there other than by faith in the One who conquered death? You be the judge. I believe that Jesus is the only way to eternal life in heaven because the Death-Conqueror, Jesus, says so.
