New Worship Service Coming Soon to Green Bay!

WHAT EXCITING TIMES FOR ST. MARK!

What:  new worship service
Where:  Green Bay site
When:  September 13th, 2015 at 10am
Why:  to re-engage the Green Bay neighborhood

Why are we adding another worship service at our Green Bay campus?

What exciting times for St. Mark!  The neighborhood surrounding our Green Bay campus area is filled with many starter homes that young families are now moving into.  God has given us an opportunity to serve these individuals and families at our existing Green Bay campus.  By expanding our ministry at our Green Bay campus we offer these people a place where they can meet Jesus and be cared for by those who have. A congregation that cares about the lost coupled with advancements in technology enables us to launch this new service.  Keep this new service in your prayers!

What will the service be like?

The service will have many of the same components and feel as our contemporary services at De Pere but with subtle changes that better reach the residents in that Green Bay neighborhood.  The service will be led by one of our pastors with a small praise team. The message will be delivered via high definition video of the same message delivered in De Pere. Following the message, the campus pastor will lead the congregation through a question and answer period.  The service will end with prayer.

More details to come ...

Is Jesus really the only way to heaven?

"Jesus answered, 'I am the way and the truth and the life.  No one comes to the Father except through me'" (John 14:6).

Jesus' statement in the verse above begs the question: Is Jesus really the only way to heaven?  Isn't it narrow-minded to think that only Christians are right and other religions are wrong?  Those are good questions.

Here's the answer.  Jesus is the only One who predicted His death and resurrection from the dead and then pulled it off in front of hundreds of witnesses.  Not only do the biblical accounts of Matthew, Mark, Luke and John all share the eye-witness accounts of Jesus' resurrection, but multiple people who did not accept the Bible as authoritative evidence came to the conclusion that the resurrection actually happened.

Dr. Simon Greenleaf, the Royal Professor of Law at Harvard University, was a great legal mind.  He set out to prove that the story of Jesus' resurrection was a myth.  Instead, after carefully examining the evidence, he came to this conclusion: "It was impossible that the apostles could have persisted in affirming the truths they had narrated, had not Jesus Christ actually risen from the dead, ..." (An Examination of the Testimony of the Four Evangelists by the Rules of Evidence Administered in the Courts of Justice, page 29).

Dr. Greenleaf was so impressed by the amount of evidence that he became a follower of Jesus.  Regardless of where you stand in your personal view of Jesus, it's worth exploring the evidence.  Jesus made the claim that He would rise from the dead and He did.  The evidence proves He did.  Since it's true that Jesus rose from the dead, then that must mean that Jesus is not a fraud.  He's not a liar.  He's the real deal.

Is Jesus really the only way to heaven?  You be the judge.  Tell me, what other way is going to give you certainty that you will get to experience eternal life in heaven?  What other way is there other than by faith in the One who conquered death?  You be the judge.  I believe that Jesus is the only way to eternal life in heaven because the Death-Conqueror, Jesus, says so.

We Are Doing It Again!!!!!

What is the need?  What is the opportunity?

·         Of the people born between 1980 and 2000, 48% don’t attend church, 25% don’t believe in God.
·         In the Appleton and Green Bay areas, only 22% believe in the Bible.

At St. Mark, we are all about Grow and Go

VISION OF ST. MARK

“To establish a dynamic Christian congregation that is an inspirational magnet for every member of our community providing an opportunity to GROW a meaningful personal relationship with Jesus
and then to GO make a difference now and for eternity.”

God’s timing is always perfect and He has led us to implement the next phase of the expansion of His Kingdom work in Green Bay by adding a 6th worship service, starting September 13th

·         Starts at 10 am, runs for 45-50 minutes
·         Contemporary service, similar to what we offer in De Pere, but with it’s own unique style
·         The Message will be delivered via a State of the Art, High Definition video system
·         Question & Answer period
·         Campus Pastor lead service with a praise team

Keep this new expansion in your prayers and … tell your friends!

Check back next week for more details on this exciting opportunity.
