 God continues to move in mighty ways through our congregation. Along me just to show you his blessings by the numbers.  In 2013: our worship attendance averaged 1287 on a weekend; at least 501 different people were involved in Bible classes; 199 children were served in our Lutheran Elementary School K-8^th grade; 47 adults were confirmed in the Christian faith and 61 children were brought into Jesus’ family through baptism.  Some people have said to me, “John, you are a numbers person.”  My answer is, “You’re right!  Every number represents a soul Jesus died for.  You bet numbers matter!”

Did You Ever Wonder??? 

Q:  When were angels created?

A:  The Bible tells us that only God is eternal and uncreated (Genesis 1:1; John 1:1-2).  The Bible also teaches that God created everything in six days (Genesis 1; Exodus 20:11).  This includes the angels (Colossians 1:16).  What the Bible does not tell us is on what day of creation week God created the angels, although some believe Job 38:6-8 points to the beginning of creation week.

While the time of the angels' creation is a mystery for us, their existence is not.  How wonderful it is to know that they carry out the will of God in serving God's children on earth (Psalm 91:11; 103:20; Hebrews 1:14)!
